1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using Retenio ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by and comply with these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Retenio regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
2. Description of Service
Retenio provides a flashcard learning platform powered by spaced repetition, designed to help users build lasting memory and knowledge. The Service includes our mobile application, website, and related features.
3. Use License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
3.1 You May Not
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit the Service for commercial purposes without written permission
- Modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices or labels on the Service
- Use the Service to develop competing products or services
- Rent, lease, lend, or otherwise transfer rights to the Service
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
4.2 Account Responsibility
You are entirely responsible for:
- All activities that occur under your account
- Maintaining the security of your passwords and credentials
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Complying with all applicable laws and these Terms
4.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in illegal or fraudulent activity
- You violate others' intellectual property or privacy rights
- Your actions harm our Service or other users
5. User Content and Responsibilities
5.1 User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of any content you upload, create, or submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, modify, and distribute it for operating and improving the Service.
5.2 Content Standards
You agree that your User Content will not:
- Violate any law or regulation
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Contain threats, harassment, or abusive language
- Include viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Impersonate or misrepresent your identity
- Spam, advertise, or promote products/services
- Be obscene, defamatory, or sexually explicit
- Violate others' privacy or safety
5.3 Content Removal
We may remove, suspend, or refuse any User Content that violates these Terms, without liability to you.
6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, functionality, and materials in Retenio (including text, graphics, logos, code, and designs) are owned by Retenio or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Limited Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and as these Terms permit. Any other use is strictly prohibited and may violate intellectual property laws.
7. Payment Terms
7.1 Subscription and Pricing
If you subscribe to a paid tier, you agree to pay all fees and charges according to the pricing plan you selected. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
7.2 Billing
- Charges are billed at the interval you select (monthly, annually, etc.)
- Billing occurs on the same day each billing cycle
- You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically
- Failed payments may result in account suspension
7.3 Refunds
Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy. Except where required by law, charges are non-refundable. Requests must be made within 30 days of purchase.
7.4 Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for paid features. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan unless you cancel beforehand.
